New Job, More Time?

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 9, 2014, 9:28 PM
I am horrible at keeping this journal up to date.  Okay so since the website launch I have completed two big projects:  The Labyrinth Gown and The Serenity Gown.  Both are canvas gowns hand-painted with acrylics.  The Labyrinth Gown was a pattern I chose that I thought was reminiscent of Sarah's ball gown from the movie and :iconLadyKateDesign: was able to sew it up in one day for me when I was visiting California. Painting took me one month to complete.  The second gown was an empire waisted pattern that I modified during process and completed with a giant bow and beaded accents. The Serenity gown I made completely from start to finish. I chose golden tones rather than silver ones because of the natural fiber color raw canvas consists.  I wanted the Senshi to be overlaid with a guazy, shimmer fabric to give the dress that magical, princess feeling since the Princess Serenity's actual gown in made of  layers of chiffon or something similar.

Other accomplishments include complete Inktober for the first tim ever! , completing a Harley Quinn cosplay, Aperture Scientish cosplay, and quite a few drawings.  I'm surprised and happy with myself for that.

Mary Poppins Float by KizzyAnel
Mary Poppins Float
The Mary Poppin's Float from the Soundsational Parade at Disneyland.  With my little whimsical flavor on its already whimsical design.  Love working on the black paper.

Harley Davidson
A drawing of a Harley Davidson waiting patiently for its owners at a Gig my husband was playing.  The chrome was so pretty in the fading light.
